Another Wonderful Zone Conference

We always enjoy Zone Conference. In a nutshell, these may have been the main points. (HAHA) President Sorenson shared his vision of missionary work for the stake - retaining, reclaiming, and restoring converts. He want us to be patient, but not satisfied.:) Sister Porter encouraged us to use our talents to push higher. President Porter's message is harder to put in a nutshell, but basically, we need to understand who we are and have faith in our abilities to hasten the work. Much instruction followed. Elders Martin and Fivas also gave us some great information. Now it's up to us to 'go and do'!!!

The Old and The New - Randomly

Transfers occurred a week ago, but in looking back at past pictures, I can't not post these memories....like the day we went to our second car museum in Auburn, our Fort Wayne Zone talent show and lunch, and the Amish caps that we wore during district meeting one week.

As for family news...we enjoyed our short visit with Uncle Bruce.

Last weekend, our son-in-law, Geoff, received his MBA from Baylor. Congratulations on a job well done!! Wish we could have been there to celebrate.

And now for the new...Our first (of many to come) lunch on the back deck with our new district. Change is good, right?

(Spring has finally come to Indiana!)

Transfers

We had Transfers this week. We lost our Elder Stringham. (He has gone to a better place.) Haha. Anyway, we are excited to welcome Elder Carson to the promised land of Angola. (We love him already!) He is a brand new to the Ohio Cincinnati Mission. He will soon learn all he needs to know to be an excellent, obedient missionary from his trainer, Elder Clare.

McFamily Happenings

Every once in awhile I must include some family happenings. We may be far away, but our hearts are with these dear grandchildren and their families.

Allen, Texas: So, thanks to HELLP Syndrome (not nice like it sounds) and an emergency c-section, Mac Lee Gillespie was born on April 29, 2014 @ 3:14 pm to Emily and Geoff.  He weighed in at 3 lbs 14 oz and was 16 inches long. He is two months early but both mother and baby are improving and seem to be doing well right now.
Layton, Utah: On May 3rd, our little Sean was baptized. (He will be a great missionary one day!)
