New & Who Knew?!

The Last Supper.
We said good-bye to our Elder Anderton as he completed his mission and returned home to Utah.

Bye-bye Mound

We welcomed Elder Beckman to Angola. (We got to keep Elder Lemieux!)

That was the "new." Now for the "who knew" part...

Who knew that Annie Oakley (Little Sure Shot) is buried just outside the tiny village of Brock, Ohio - which just happens to be on our way home from transfers! Anyway, we had to take the small detour to visit this historic spot.

More for you history buffs - In 1933, John Dillinger and his gang entered the Farmer's State Bank in Hudson, Indiana, and robbed them of $1,700. The building now houses the Gangster's Grill. Hudson is in our branch boundaries, so we took Elder Lemieux and Elder McFarland there for lunch.

Our missionary version of what must have happened on that fateful day.

Welcome 2015

We have enjoyed a complete year in Indiana as missionaries. It has gone by so quickly! We now welcome in a new year of adventures, beginning with these January entries...

The Christmas mights were taken down and the snow and frigid weather arrived.

We all got a little sick but, fortunately, Sister Porter had a great remedy to get us back on our feet again. It just didn't taste all that good. Elder Lemieux only needed one dose!!!

We are allowed one District Fun Day and one Zone Fun Day each month.

Last week our district enjoyed lunch at the Shultz's new place in Auburn - Bo Doogies BBQ. Yum! Then, that's right. Bowling.

Today...Waterloo...and...BUBBLE SOCCER...with the Zone.

(It can't get much better than this - especially if you are a Senior Missionary trying to keep up with the young 'uns!!)
